Immersed in old photographs, I revisit the essence of my childhood – the warmth of parental love, shared laughter with siblings, and the unbridled curiosity that defined those years. Through my art, I aspire to capture this essence, inviting viewers to embrace the bittersweet feelings of their own memories. I wield unconventional tools, like a credit card as my brush, to craft pieces that transcend traditional boundaries. In doing so, I address the influence of wealth and bias on foundational memories while pondering the delicate transition young adults undergo, progressing from the safety of home to the challenges of independence. My artistic journey not only celebrates the simplicity and resilience of the past but also prompts contemplation on evolving ethically, striking a harmonious chord between preserving our authentic selves and embracing progress.
